Oscar Fairchild joins industry leaders as the PM shares government’s plans for economic growth…and female run businesses are top of his agenda

Earlier this month Oscar Fairchild MD Kim Redwood-Lee was honoured with an invitation to join a landmark Make Business Your Own event. At the event, which brought together female entrepreneurs from across the South East, Prime Minister Boris Johnson shared the government’s plan to encourage 600,000 more females to start up businesses to fund a stronger future UK.

Kim says: “600,000 more female entrepreneurs – what an incredible goal. As a female led business, with an all-female senior team, we are all too aware of the barriers that can hold women business owners back, so we’ll be backing this plan all the way!”.

Our purpose here at Oscar Fairchild is to make life easier for small business owners and to help their firms to grow. We know first hand that traditionally female entrepreneurs have been less likely to seek funding to enable growth, choosing instead to self fund organically, but this statistic is changing thanks to positive action from banks including RBS/NatWest.
